As a result of President Joe Biden’s executive order to freeze all pending regulations for review, USDA has announced the suspension of processing and payments under the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) - Additional Assistance and has halted implementation until further notice.
Local Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices will continue to take applications during the regulatory review process. The deadline for submitting new or modified CFAP 2 applications is February 26.
FSA has yet to prepare a program to implement the crop, cattle and dairy margin coverage provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. Producers should monitor information from their local FSA office for details on when and how those payments will be made.
