Joint Statement: Suspected Fraud by Former WSBC Employee
Joint statement regarding recent allegations of credit card fraud by a former employee of the Washington State Beef Commission:
We were recently made aware that the Washington State Beef Commission is investigating alleged misuse of Checkoff funds via credit card fraud by a former employee. We, as contributors to the Beef Checkoff program, wish to express our support for the Washington State Beef Commission board of directors and staff as the investigation continues.
We look forward to a thorough investigation and a resolution to any potential criminal proceedings that may result. We will continue to support the Washington State Beef Commission and the Beef Checkoff program while this matter is investigated.
