Giving Back
The WCFA is a vehicle for combining cattle feeder resources to make a bigger impact in our community. We focus on supporting our neighbors in need and helping young people with a desire to be a part of the cattle community.Beef Counts
Washington's Beef Community United Against Hunger
WCFA is a founding partner in Beef Counts, providing beef to our neighbors in need through Second Harvest and Food Lifeline. Our organization and members contribute thousands each year, resulting in over one million servings of beef reaching hungry children, families, and seniors in Washington since the program began in 2010.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Student Scholarships
The WCFA scholarship program has attracted solid student applicants year after year. Three $2500 memorial awards honor past feeder leaders, and two $1500 financial awards are given to students based on merit and quality of application, thanks to generous support from members and the greater community.
LIVESTOCK YOUTH
Sagebrush Classic
WCFA sponsors the market steer class and other awards for young livestock exhibitors at the Sagebrush Classic each year. Feeders attend the show and provide feedback and guidance from the professional feeder perspective, sharing resources and knowledge to increase the value of the experience for the kids.
